Integrative Health

At SkimWellness, we believe your health is rarely explained by one symptom, one lab value, or one system alone. Integrative health looks at the bigger picture: how nutrition, digestion, stress, sleep, movement, hormones, medications, medical history, and lifestyle may interact and influence how you feel.

Our dietitians take an evidence-based, whole-person approach to care. Rather than simply asking, “What should you eat?”, we work to understand the patterns and contributing factors behind your symptoms so that nutrition recommendations can be individualized, practical, and sustainable.

Whether you’re navigating digestive concerns, hormone-related symptoms, chronic fatigue, inflammation, autoimmune conditions, or simply feeling “off” despite doing many of the right things, our goal is to help you better understand your body and create a plan that supports your health without unnecessary restriction or overwhelm.

Integrative care at SkimWellness is not about chasing quick fixes or adding endless supplements. It’s about combining nutrition science with lifestyle medicine, appropriate lab interpretation, collaboration with your healthcare team, and foundational habits that support long-term well-being.

Our Dietitians' Experiences with Integrative Health

Through navigating my own health challenges, I’ve experienced how frustrating it can be when symptoms don’t fit neatly into one box and how valuable it is to have providers who look beyond a single symptom while still respecting the role of conventional medical care. Working with clients has reinforced this perspective. I’ve seen how concerns with digestion, energy, hormones, stress, sleep, fueling, and lifestyle can overlap and influence how someone feels day to day. These experiences have made me passionate about helping clients connect the dots, better understand their bodies, and feel less overwhelmed by the often-conflicting health information they encounter.

I utilize GI testing to identify the root cause of symptoms that are often treated as the issue. I have helped clients discover root causes to IBS, fatigue, and weight gain, and I have uncovered the root causes in myself as well. I love being able to see everyone as bioindividual; like a puzzle and there are unique pieces to each of them.
